主要从事可再生能源发电、磁性传动系统、直线伺服驱动系统、高效节能直驱电机系统、新型电机设计与控制等方向的研究工作。近年来,主持国家重点研发计划项目子课题2项,国家自然科学基金面上项目1项,国家自然科学青年基金项目1项,湖南省自然科学基金项目1项,企业项目多项,湖南大学优秀青年教师培育基金项目1项;作为骨干成员参与国家自然科学基金重点项目1项,军委装备发展部兵器工业联合基金1项,丹麦战略创新项目2项,欧盟H2020项目1项,浙江省重大科技项目1项,企业项目多项。发表论文50余篇,其中SCI收录23篇,EI收录45篇。
